My husband and I have employed Burnish and Plumb on two major projects at our home in Pemberton. Extensive reworking of the upstairs laundry, stair and bedroom/closet spaces and a major renovation of the kitchen were both tremendous successes. Buck McLamb was superbly organized and made the project a pleasure, personally and professionally. Our timeline and our budget lines were all met precisely. The craftsmanship and overall finished products would lead us to most definitely hire the company and its leadership again. Followup and end of project details gave us an absolutely positive experience with Burnish and Plumb. We are happy to recommend personally by email or phone.

Buck McLamb's honesty is beyond reproach. When a billing issue arose (as they often do with remodel projects) he always gave me a thorough explanation as to why it occurred. He worked with me to resolve them in a timely manner and to my complete satisfaction. I highly recommend Burnish and Plumb.

Save yourself the agony-do not use this company. After a 21 month garage apartment build, I found this company to be prone to fraudulent charges, deceptive business practices, and a host of unnecessary charges and expenses. They are very resistant to standing behind their work. If you choose to use them -get a lawyer, an inspector and an accountant. Be particularly aware of the punch list page that has a prepositional phase”of the financials”- if you sign it and take their $50 check -you just wrote them a blank check that legally changes your cost plus job into whatever they want to charge job!! Insist on proof for expenses and a complete separation of your expenses and accounts from other people on every invoice. Do not give them any $ until you see invoices and cashed checks. They will try to make every excuse in order not to give those things to you. Do not think this is just a formality and trust that they’re doing right by you. They didn’t for me. Do not trust any verbal agreement. This is an example of my problems that were too many to mention them all. They installed Brand-new refrigerator and freezer columns. The door would not shut right and they broke the ice maker among other parts. They charged me for their install and scratched my floor in the process. They told me to call my warranty people to fix their install problems. I called the warranty people (thank God I bought a warranty) and the warranty people charged me over $1600 to fix the problems that Burnish and Plumb created in the installation. When I gave Burnish and Plumb all the information and told them what it would cost to fix the problem they told me it was my refrigerator freezer and it wasn’t their problem. Mind you they charged me for all the installation and supervision charges which was an excessive additional cost.. Burnish and Plumb left me with the refrigerator freezer columns that were broken and unusable. I was left with a door that wouldn’t close, an ice maker that they broke, no water hook up because they forgot to turn the water on, and excessive broken parts etc. all because they didn’t know how to install it correctly. They made their problem my problem. The other thing you need to know is that I had a lot a problems with my grinder pump -every time I used my toilet it it would trip the arc fault and the alarm would go off. This was on the garage apartment that they built. After several months of asking them to fix it and them shamming me, I called Radiant plumbing. Radiant plumbing came out and told me that the problem was my pump was not a grinder pump. Somehow somebody took my new grinder pump that was on my job site and put in a old non-grinder pump. It took me hiring a competent plumber at radiant to let me know what was really going on and to fix the problem. I called up Paul Clayton (who is one of the owners of Burnish and Plumb and also the architect of Clayton and Little) because I thought that he could step in and help fix the plumbing problem that Buck Mclamb- his partner would not. I let the plumber from radiant tell him what was going on. In that conversation Paul Clayton instead of fixing the mess his partner was doing...told me I was the worst client he ever had. He told me that he was not going to fix the plumbing problem. These pumps have serial numbers, they also can be traced to where they were bought and if researched can find out who bought them, and where and when. The pump they put in my house was from 2017. When Buck Mclamb heard that we had the serial number and a licensed plumber (that I hired )was there, he came out right away and brought a new grinder pump. To this day, I haven't had a problem with that pump. It was Just kind of funny that it took that situation to get Buck Mclamb to do right by me. Those were just two examples of the unprofessional behavior that I had to deal with. I would not recommend Burnish and Plumb.

Burnish and Plumb does incredible work. They are honest and hardworking and the outcome is always better that I could have ever imagined. All of B&Ps contractors are of the same nature. They are honest, kind, respectful and do excellent work. I HIGHLY recommend them.
