IMPORTANT - If you have gotten an expired tag/registration citation do NOT bother showing up to court.

I received a citation for my expired tag a few weeks ago and was told by the officer that I could show up to court and fight it if I willed. On the day of my court date I showed up to court early and got seated after signing in only to be told that this court does not even allow that type of citation to be fought.

The staff is nice. They were friendly and helpful with everything court related and assisted with/offered payment options - although I could not get much interaction since I was sent on my way shortly after arriving - however, I think the court and police department could and should do a better job at informing citizens that are given citations if they CAN or CAN NOT fight their ticket in court so they do not have to reschedule their calendar around it only to find out it was for nothing.

I hope this post helps someone! I would call ahead and see if your citation can even be fought.

been to court in a few different places. traffic court should not take over 3 hours. ive never seen such an inefficent system to that extent before. judge gets up and walks away for 10+ minutes after only 3 or 4 people. not to mention the punishments for some of these offenses, even with a lawyer... worse over here than other places in cobb.

The absolute rudest people I’ve ever encountered in any state I’ve ever lived in. You walk in they look at you like you owe them something. Unwilling to answer questions or even direct you to the appropriate department for your questions. They have fine amounts that are borderline robbery. They don’t care at all about you. They are not there to make kennesaw a better place or to help victims of crimes and tragedy. The run this court house like a racketeering gig. Truly disgraceful. Justice for all is a laughable phrase within this court house

Literally some of the rudest people. I swear they don't know what they're talking about at all. They love to make your life difficult on purpose. It really gets them off. Don't try to fix anything on your house in this city. They will make you do some of the craziest stuff. When you go to talk to them about getting permits they are rude and when you give them what they ask for they say thats not what they asked for and they need something different. Absolutely unbelievable. Fyi the steps going into their building are not up to code so they should really look into fixing that before someone gets hurt.

If I could give less stars I would.....care only about the money they can get instead of helping the people that are there....if you end up going here be ready to open your check book or take out a small loan to pay the absurdly high fines they issue. They are a money making business bottom line they are not there to improve Kennesaw in the least unless it's through your wallet.

get a text the day before saying i have court otta no where then i call the number they say they are closed tuesday for court and to leave a message but the voicemail box is too full ..

Corrupt money hungry cannot dispute a ticket all fines must be layed unless moved to Cobb county wich costs money as well

They work on cases like we don't have anything else in life to do . they don't even let you negotiate on ticket fines.
