Great New York style bagels in Sarasota. The lox sandwich was delicious, as was the BEC and whitefish salad. Born and raised in Brooklyn and owning a bagel shop up north for the past 8 years, I know what a good bagel is. Great choices on bagel flavors and sandwich types. Will come again!

Like any bagel, it needs to be eaten as soon as you put stuff on it, otherwise it begins the “sog process”. Ham and Egg on an everything hits the spot every time. Nice crunchy crust and spongy crumb. Overall…solid.

What used to be my go-to bagel shop in Sarasota, is now an empty shell of what it once was. Call the previous owners whatever bad names you want, but they ran a well oiled machine. The bagels were fresh, tasty, were the right size and had just the right amount of schmear (cream cheese).

On this most recent visit (I haven’t been back since they changed hands and the word of mouth wasn’t great), I was surprised to find that most of the display cases were empty with a single tub of cream cheese and some cold cuts. The baked goods didn’t look very appetizing. The t-shirts seemed a bit tacky.

This place would normally be filled with people enjoying their meals and on this visit it was mostly empty.

The service was the only thing that was decent, the cashier asked how my day was and the lady who prepped my bagel was very enthusiastic.

The bagel itself didn’t taste fresh. It was also smaller than what they used to be. I paid for extra cream cheese and felt like I received what should be a normal amount.

Overall I feel like this was not worth $4.50 for a hard bagel with “extra” cream cheese.

Unfortunately it looks like Sarasota has lost the only great bagel shop in town.

Mid-day not too busy, staff friendly and helpful. Parking better and easier than I thought it would be. Food was mediocre....another bagel place in Venice tastes better.

The place was taken over by new owners and it's not the same. Lox bagel for $13 had maybe 2 oz of salmon on it. Definitely farm raised crap. They use Boars Head meats.. enough said there... honestly night and day different from the old owners. Even the bagels were better! Service was great however!

Almost didn’t come here because of the negative reviews, but I’m so glad we did! We’ve already been back twice and have had a great experience every time. I’m super picky with bagels and these are the best I’ve had in the area. Awesome cream cheese selection as well. Even when they’re busy, orders never take longer than 5 min. This is my go-to spot moving forward.

This year for our beach Christmas brunch we preordered bagel bites with a variety of cream cheeses for pick Dec 23 - unfortunately when went to pick up our order it could not be found even though we had the prepaid receipt - this could have been a disaster but NO, THANKS TO TESS who originally took our order, and was now waiting on us on the 23rd, did absolutely everything she could to make it right in whatever way worked best for us - so the next morning, very early, we picked up our fresh order with some nice treats inside - the bagel bites were a big hit at the brunch - just the perfect size with all the other goodies - at this crazy busy time of year mistakes can easily happen to any of us BUT the customer service here went beyond being accommodating - thank you for a job well done and as always we’ll be back soon for our Favourite toasted bagels with cream cheese - Happy New Year

I wanted to go in and return this sandwich but my lady didn't want me to.

Go to Venice for a good bagel.
