B&D did a great job installing this picket fence and gate. Completed the job in a timely manner and I’m really happy with the quality of work. Definitely will use them for future projects.

I have used B&D construction twice now. They are great to work with. They are very up front with everything the project will entail and the progress they are making while doing the job. The first project was installing a metal roof. I couldn’t be happier with a Eric and Ben on this job. They went above and beyond. The second job was a total deck replacement and minor repairs to another. Darren did an outstanding job keeping me appraised of the job and their progress. The final results were awesome as expected. Shop around and get other quotes of you want. Another company may be cheaper but always remember there’s a reason for that. They are cutting corners and not doing quality work. You will be happy with your decision to go with B&D Construction.

Ben and Jonothan were very professional. They came to the house to measure for a new kitchen. Offered several options to choose from. Great advice, easy to work with. Would definitely recommend their services to anyone.

Would give 0 stars if poss.
Signed contract and paid 1/2 down for basement remodel and exterior repairs in June 2021. Ben is a great salesman. Couldn’t have been any nicer.
Finally came and did exterior repairs in April 2022 after monthly phone calls by my husband. No contact from them. We asked for stain to match our house. See below for what we ended up with. When questioned Darren was very hateful. Now we have to hire someone else to come and restain.
We have canceled basement remodel. We would not recommend.

The first project they did for us was build a 4 season room off the back of our home. I know just enough about construction to be dangerous but I was impressed with the work on this room. Next they added a car bay onto our existing garage. After the garage they removed a tub and installed a walk in shower. I am very satisfied with the quality of work and the employees that came to our home was very professional. I would and have recommend B & D Construction.

B&D just completed a second project for us. The first was a bathroom remodel. This was an addition, siding, windows, front door, and bathroom remodel. They were great to work with. We did have a couple of supply chain issues but that was beyond their control. Once they started, the work was efficient and professional. We are extremely please with how it turned out. I would highly recommend them for any construction or remodel needs.

Poor Quality work that required multiple reworks (still not great). Didn’t calculate materials remotely closely despite charging for it all. Publicly falsely advertised work done at our home without consulting us. If you work with this company, get 100% ironclad signed documents to protect yourself from poor work, and be ready and willing to sue when things go wrong. Take lots of pics and document every single thing, because Ben was dishonest in his dealings with us. If you are elderly or unable to inspect work yourself, you could have an underlying quality issue that quietly destroys your property if not closely monitored, and ultimately costs a lot of money to correct. They went against industry quality standards stating what they did looked better (without consulting us first), and have deleted online negative remarks we’ve made about our experience. When quoting the work, Ben told us he has an impeccable reputation and has “never” had a customer issue. Maybe he meant online because if it gets deleted, did it really ever exist?

When telling family about our nightmarish experience with them, coincidentally we were told they were also doing work on the house across the street from our relative who proceeded to tell us the complaints their neighbor had shared.

Personally, I rely heavily on reviews to make decisions, and if poor online reviews were not deleted, maybe I could have avoided the regretful experience I had. If everyone else is booked up, just wait your turn. There is a reason for it.

Over the last three years, B and D Construction have always came through for the many projects on our historical home. Most contractors took a look at our sagging built-in gutters and rotting soffits and said, “Nope.” (If they even called us back in the first place). The roof was original to 1865, and the damage to the carpentry was extensive. B and D remained undaunted, and worked tirelessly to make sure our home would last another 150 years despite working through the first year of the pandemic and a major storm that blew through in April of 2020. When we needed masonry work done and no masons were available at the quoted price in our estimate, Ben and Darren tuck pointed the brick themselves. When our dog escaped, one of the workers sprinted nearly a mile to catch him. Who does that?!
They are clean, conscientious, downright funny, and I’ve always felt I got a fair deal. Everyone is short staffed and supply chains are inconsistent, and they work hard to make you feel like none of those problems are your problems. I’m always confident in the work that they do.
As a side note, as a woman who works from home, it’s rare to feel comfortable with (nearly always entirely male) contractors around for days or even months on end, especially with our roofing job. They are always respectful, thoughtful and tidy up after themselves.
When we needed a side porch roof removed due to its imminent collapse, they did the job while we were out of town. I was worried about my flowers and landscaping getting trampled but was resigned to coming home to a mess. On the contrary, everything was exactly as it was, minus a porch roof.
I have had zero complaints over the years, and look forward to hiring them again in the future.
