Majority of Big D ready mix drivers cannot drive at all!!! They think they own the road!!! You guys should have a safety meeting about safe driving and other safety procedures that I’m pretty sure they are breaking OSHA regulations! Do better!!

We used big D back in 2017 to do our back car lot at Autos of Dallas, They did a great job. Price was unbeatable and they delivered on schedule.
I will use them again and do recommend them to others all the time.

Driver showed up 1.5hrs late, wasn't sent the correct slump. Company was suppose to come out and do a core test. Missed 3 appointments to do that, then shows up and pretty much says, yes the concrete was wrong from the start. Company doesn't want to make it right. Would suggest never using them!

It is my recommendation that one NEVER use Big D Concrete. I hired a contractor to pour a cement slab and patio for me. There was a discrepancy between the customer service agent and contractor causing a short of material. After we paid the original delivery they told us additional material was on its was at 11.00am in the morning, They never showed up with additional materials.

After numerous calls throughout the day I reached the Sales Rep Sandy myself and she told me she had a disagreement with contractor and I would have to pay additional handling charge if I wanted more cement. I told her no problem because I needed to complete project with matching concrete. Next thing she did was hang up on me. I called no less than 20 more times and no reply.

After frantically calling the main number many more times I spoke to someone called Marvin who identified himself as on of the owners. He told me there was not much he could do because it was late in the afternoon, but he would call me back to see what could be done. Bottom line he also never returned my call, nor did they pick up my follow-up calls.

Now I have a slab that I need to redo because the concrete that I was able to get the next day did not match the texture. I am amazed that this company knew we had purchased so much concrete (+9yards) and had no regard for the project.

It is a shame a company can operate like this.

We are a midsize concrete subcontractor, and it's hard to find a company like Big D that gives you one person to call to handle all your requests and questions! I have enjoyed working with Mel Taylor over at Big D and will continue to order concrete from them! They have their share of mistakes like all the rest of us do, but it's how you respond to those mistakes is what makes the difference.

Drivers are UNSAFE and RUN AWAY from an accident they cause! I was driving down highway 35 in heavy traffic when all the sudden I was being drug by a large vehicle across two lanes! I looked over and this cement truck just hit the back drive side of my car and NEVER stopped. They drove until i was able to shake myself off of his front bumper and he drove away. Luckily, I caught the name of the company and his license plate number. Don’t use a company with such RECKLESS and DANGEROUS driving.

While entering the alley behind our home to go to a job up the alley, one of their trucks over shot the alley by 3 feet and drove through our yard causing major damage. They said they would have it fixed and now it has been about six weeks and no repair. They no longer return our phone calls. Look out for this company driving through your neighborhood!!
