I received service on 10 October on Pine Lakes Avenue in Savannah. I forgot to put the can out by the street the night before, but the driver got out and came and got it from by the house. I ran out there when I heard the truck, and he said that we didn’t have it out the week before, and thought maybe we’d overslept this week. I was very impressed with the service we received that day, and the driver was very courteous. Thank you for your thoughtfulness!

Today was an exceptional day as my faith was restored in customer service and the long-lost ability for people to just be kind. I live at the very beginning of my neighborhood and my waste service truck comes at oh-dark-thirty every single Thursday morning, think 6:02 am. You can set your alarm by them. As a matter of fact, if I forget to take my trash out the night before, I will miss them.

Last night, I forgot. Again. I am not a lazy person, but I do have a whole lot going on. Nate, my wonderful waste management guy, found that out this morning as he stepped into the chaos. He stopped his route to come into my yard, near my backdoor to retrieve my two trashcans and take them to the curb for me. I was choaking back actual tears while I was in my pajamas trying to profusely thank Nate for such a huge act of kindness, trying to control my puppy who escaped from the house and was trying to attack him, as I wrangled my first grader who had a doctor’s appointment and was excited about missing the first part of school. My driveway was utter chaos.

He and the other workers on his truck did not have to stop their day for us. They did not have to put themselves behind their schedule to get my cans, yet they did! They could have skipped my house and gotten home from work ten minutes earlier, but they didn’t. They actually did the kind thing and stopped. You don’t see customer service like that anymore and I appreciate it.

And they didn’t just do it today. There have been many weeks that I have forgotten and they have stopped. I just thought my husband miraculously got up in the middle of the night while raiding the fridge and did. When I asked him about it, he has looked at me funny and blamed it on the exhaustion. Nope! It was Nate. There is no telling how many people they carry out this service for that don’t even realize it. Husband thinking their wives handle it, wives thinking their husbands do or maybe a teenager. But it is Nate all the time. That crew could probably be home an hour or two earlier for dinner every day, but they do the kind thing. I just wanted everyone to know that my family appreciates it. God bless them all.

I will be a lifelong Atlantic Waste Service customer. And a lifelong fan of Nate and his crew.

When your recycle pick up service is straight garbage!

I’ve been at this address for more than five years and rarely even have half of my recycle bin full. Today it was overflowing so I put some boxes (4) broken down in a large box for pickup. They left this box in my driveway. I’ve lived in many other states and had to this before. Never had a problem. Can’t understand why this is a problem, except service is not a real thing.

To: Atlantic Waste Service. No complains about trash pick up. On scheduled. Your customer service telephone ☎️ rep. Courteous. However if there is a free dump day . Who manages the dates for service. Is it the county? Is Atlantic Waste Services. & where can I access that information? So if any one does monitor this website. Will you kindly provide me with your next free dump day. Atlantic missed a bulk pickup at my home, causing me to have to bring the materials back inside my garage.
I reported the issue to the company and they sent a truck out to pick up the items missed. The very courteous driver even helped me bring the materials out to the truck.
We all know that mistakes happen. What matters is how the mistake is rectified.

Do not use this company! I moved into Cottonvale Towns, a newer townhome community, and started service with Atlantic Waste using their request form online. Someone called me and set up service giving me a quote of $95 a quarter. She took my card information and my trash can arrived a couple days later. I never received an account number, confirmation email, or bill. I totally forgot about it in the craziness of the move. Last month I wanted to add on recycling and realized "oh wow I have never received a bill from Atlantic Waste" so I called customer support. I told them I have never received a bill via mail or email and they informed me that I had an overdue balance of $278. I was shocked because if I had gotten a bill I would have paid it. They also informed me that the original quote of $95 a quarter has never been a thing and it is $110 a quarter. They also said they cannot control my mailman and it is neither mine or theirs fault that I never received a bill but I still have to pay the overdue balance. That is crazy to me. They never sent a late payment notice. They never gave an account number so I could check online. 0 stars, DO NOT RECOMMEND.
