They did a great job on the house. I would recommend them building your house or if you are looking for a new neighborhood, look for Carbon Construction Builds. Shaun and Gary are both wonderful to deal with.

I would not recommend buying a home from this company, We purchased our home in the Mallard Creek Subdivision in Hephzibah Ga/ Burke county in January. We have had issues since that time. From finding a hole in the concrete in the floor under the carpet in a bedroom, electrical issues due to exposed wires, A/C completely not working for months with sweltering temps in the home, dying grass & weeds in the sod, entry way door knobs falling off, floor boards unprofessionally done, Spa tub seal separating from the wall & our land not being graded properly causing major build up of water in our back yard which has caused major issues with frogs, snakes and muddy soil, eroding ditch. The level of response from Carbon has been unprofessional & egregious. Our neighbors expressed almost exactly the same issues with their homes! The last thing homebuyers want to deal with after purchasing a home are issues & pure lack of concern when submitting issues. When I express a concern. I expect that concern to be swiftly addressed & taken care of. I don’t want it hear any excuses. And absolutely despise lies from professionals about contacting us & that we have missed appointments. I am a registered nurse & I dont tolerate bold face lies about my integrity & character nor about any member of my family. Our current latest issue is land grading. Carbon Construction promised before closing that they would grade our land. Our back yard before closing was uneven and accumulates pond level areas of water when it rains that lasts for weeks. Our backyard & neighbors yard retains pond level water that is unable to drain from our back yards. We have issues with pests such as frogs and snakes that feed on them. Three weeks ago ( note it is now July) Carbon construction sent a guy out to take care of this. All he did was even out the middle part of out back yard. No filling of the water logged areas & no grading. Grading land requires that one grade the land in such away that the water drains properly from the land. The person they hired simply leveled out the uneven areas of the yard. He missed an area promised to come back to take care of it. The developer also stated he would be back. As of today ( weeks later). It has not been taken care of. When it rains our back yard looks like a lake. Its very muddy and slippery. One of our neighbors brought a kubota to grade his own land. My husband is a disabled veteran. He has issues with his knees & cannot navigate our land due to the potential risk of falling. We cannot place sheds on our land nor put fencing up until the land is graded properly. We have a huge issue with frogs and frog excrement all over the outside of our home. Frogs need water to thrive and we have tons of it in our back yard. I sent pictures of the water build up to the developer with no response. They failed to properly create drainage in the back of our properties to allow the water to naturally drain. How they got someone with BURKE Co. to signed off on the land grading is incredulous! They are highly unprofessional and do absolutely ridiculous repair work. Just look at the pictures below. We have had expose electrical wires that caused the power to cut off during rainy days. I question the competency of the personnel working for Carbon Construction. It seems they are more concerned about the neighbors sharing the issues we are all having. I work saving lives everyday with professionals and the last thing I want to do is come home & stress about our home which is what we have done since January. Complaints should not be unfamiliar to them so I don’t get the lack of concern and straight up forget you push back when presenting issues. The answer or respond is simply. Take care of it & do it right. As a nurse I understand customer satisfaction. Addressing & resolving concerns quickly & with professional knowledge. Carbon has a real disconnect with what customers need. You are not too big to fail. We paid $338k for our home and I expect 338k work done in my home. If this is what you want to look forward to then Carbon is for you.

We have been in our new Carbon home now for almost 3 months and are very pleased with the build quality, customer service and the fact that Carbon has done absolutely everything they promised to do. Any good contractor should be able to build you a quality home but it is service and living up to their warranty after the point of sale that shows you how good a contractor/builder you are dealing with. As with any new home (many parts) I had a few concerns so I put in a repair order online and was almost immediately I was notified by Carbon a certain contractor would be contacting us. Within just a few days we had one of their subcontractors here to address the issue. We purchased a model home and one of my concerns was the HVAC had been used for 12-18 months and I was worried about the cleanliness of my duct system. Within days the HVAC company that installed the system called me to schedule a complete system inspection and cleaning.....Whew was I impressed. One of the biggest things to note is every subcontractor that has come here has raved that Carbon is the best contractor to work for. If you are going to get a gripe it is usually from the subs that work for the lead contractor....not so. They were here and did even more than what was asked. There are a lot of new construction homes you can buy in various price points but I just don't know how you do better with someone that not only keeps their word but goes out of their way to make sure a home owner is satisfied with something and that is after the sale. If I could give ten stars I would but there is only five available!

Great team with Gary and the crew. We can all nit pick about something but we have to remember these homes are built with human hands so it can be imperfections. The fact is everything asked for they delivered and more. Grateful for the help they provide the answers and responses even on the personal phone lines. Keep pushing Gary and Carbon!

I've been living in my house for about 6 months or so it's being going pretty well so far. I've had a few issues come up and they have came out to fix them quickly. Thier sheet rock work is very good and their tile work is very good. Overall their quality of work is good, they have the construction process pretty nailed down and are quick. They often have guys out there even on the weekends working. I appreciate the blinds the put in, the higher ceilings, the led lights, pocket doors, and irrigation system. Just those few extra things mean alot.
My biggest complaints are the following... My yard was full of trash, nails, sticks, tree root pieces, and bits of concrete when they were done, also the seeding straw they put on the grass wasn't near thick enough, had no tackifier and it all blew away and clumped up in places and grass never grew. I'm having to pay someone to come out and seed it correctly as well as expand the irrigation system to cover the whole yard. Also the carpet they used in my house is cheap and very thin, when I'm bare foot I step on the tack strips and get stuck in my foot. The cabinets are also cheap quality, particle board type stuff. They look good but I have noticed the shelves will sag if you have enough weight on them. If you use Carbon you might want to negotiate with them to get better quality carpet and cabinets expect to pay extra for that. Another thing I have noticed with my house and other carbon houses is that their driveways appear to have no rebar in them because alot of them crack. They might have rebar in them I'm honestly not sure. Quality concrete companies always reinforce driveways to prevent cracking.
Carbon also won't really go out of thier way to do things for you. They strictly do what they are required and nothing more which I can understand I guess. I wanted them to vent my microwave outside...nope, I wanted them to move my mini split location... Nope... my neighbor wanted centipede instead of burmuda... nope... They did agree however to remove a tree stump for me, I mean it took 5 months and several emails reminding them but they got it which I'll give them credit for that.
