August’s crew did an excellent job clearing plant growth, filling in mortar, replacing need bricks and installing copper to the historic building’s brickwork and securing the property to prevent further water intrusion. I am sitting in front of a cozy fire to write this review--and it's thanks to August Breton and his crew of craftsmen. The before photo tells a sad story of a mantel that had been purchased in a sort of "This Old House" fever for the 1900 Victorian duplex we were renovating. Restoring the mantel was one of the last things to check off of our very long list and we asked friends for recommendations. TWO recommended Form Construction.

I love every aspect of this "new" mantel and fireplace: the tilework, the restoration of the mantel, the way they were able to center it...I guess it had been off center for 124 years.

I knew we were in very good hands from the moment I met August. He has a can-do attitude that's very genuine. There were a couple of sticking points that came up (as they do in all construction) and he handled them so well I didn't even realize he was managing my expectations. And then exceeded them!

Other things that might be important to know: they showed up on time and stuck to the timeline. They left the construction area neat and tidy and cleaned it really well at the end of the job.

I would 100 per cent recommend Form Construction!

Mr. Breton was recommended to us by our Carpenter. We had several estimates and his seemed to be the most reasonable. He and his crew did a great job for us totally restoring a brick floor with new pavers on our upstairs porch which had suffered water damage. His men were courteous , quiet, and always left the worksite cleaned up at the end of the day. I would not hesitate to use him again and I would recommend him to my friends and neighbors

Throughout the process, the owner, August Breton, was responsive, prompt, knowledgeable, and professional. Renovating a townhouse in the Historic Distric, part of which involved adding a carriage house and enclosing the courtyard with a brick wall. Part of my mission was to make the structures appear to have been there from the time the house was constructed, and I knew exactly what I wanted. However, August and his crew surpassed all my expectations. From helping to choose the brick to the architectural details he Incorporated to match the house facade, August's imagination and his crew's attention to detail made the finished product the envy of the neighborhood. The project was finished in record time, the job site was always clean, and he was a joy to work with - always accessible by phone. The cost was half what I had been quoted by other companies, and the masonry is perfect. Perfect!
