From start to finish Koala Insulation was professional, polite, and prompt. They returned my call quickly and I had an estimate the next day. After I compared te estimate to 2 other companies on an 'apple to apple' basis I selected Koala and they came out as scheduled 2 days later. Koala did a great job in upgrading the insulation in the attic. They were on time, professional and explained the process prior to starting. I’d certainly recommend this company if you’re looking to upgrade or remove insulation in the attic. Robert spent time explaining things during his visit to provide an estimate. Originally I had given a favorable review to this business...until I kept making discoveries. There are several reasons I had problems with them. We bought this house in July and paid Koala to remove the existing insulation; I was told that I had to pay an extra fee because there were more things that had to be removed which were left over in the attic from previous owners.
The week following their first visit and removal I saw in the attic that there were many things which could have been easily removed but weren't. I let the manager know and she promised that the guys would remove those things before they blew the new insulation in (we had the two visits scheduled two weeks apart so other contractors could get into the attic and not disturb anything).
During this two week period I had a roofer install additional soffit vents around the house because there was not enough attic venting. When Koala returned to install the insulation, I walked them around the house showing all 17 vent locations because one thing that Koala does (or is supposed to do) includes installing baffles at all vent locations. These baffles prevent the insulation from blocking the vents and stopping the airflow into the attic. I saw the installer take baffles into the attic so I thought nothing of it.
When they were finished blowing in the insulation I asked them if they had made sure and not covered the a/c units because I didn't want to take the chance of the insulation causing problems to those units. He assured me that they were careful.
The next day when I went to turn the a/c units on they didn't work (though the reason was unrelated to the insulation). When the a/c guys came out to look at the units they told me that the units had insulation covering the pans as well as insulation inside the PVC pipes. I spoke to the manager at Koala and she said that one of the original two guys would be back to fix the problem. I told her that I didn't want the guy on my property because of the things stated above. She said that she and another person would come out and fix the problem themselves.
The day that Koala returned to my house, the guy who I said I didn't want to be there at all showed up with another person. I called the manager and reminded her that I didn't want him on site. She said that she must have misunderstood what I told her, and that she told him he wasn't allowed in the house. Notice that I said I called her...because she didn't show up like she said she would. The second guy cleared out the a/c unit areas and showed me pictures to prove it. Fine.
A few days later I was in the attic and decided to look around and see about the baffles...because why not. I saw that some were installed and others weren't. When I texted the guy at Koala (I don't remember his name, but it doesn't matter), he said that he had photos from the installers showing the baffles installed. I'm sure that was true. When I sent him photos showing the light coming in at the vents which didn't have baffles, I stopped hearing back from him.
Way to go Koala! I had planned on using you guys to install insulation in my walls (I'd already had a quote from them), but now I won't use you for anything. And I hope that people who read this review will think twice about using you as well.

Great experience!! They showed up a few minutes early which was great!! And they filled my attic quickly!! I have a pretty large attic so took about an hour and 45 min. They were respectful and knowledgable! Highly recommend’
