Marc’s team started working on our house right before the pandemic. The team continued working while maintaining all safety measures, and he kept us updated on the progress with daily calls and messages. Raquel worked on the design, doing research and coming up with multiple options for every design choice, all with a smile and a genuine desire to come up with the best possible look for the house.
We could not be happier with the final result and truly recommend that you hire them too.

We had a great experience working with MA Design & Construction. They care about their work and make sure the customer is happy. We recently wrapped up several projects with them – kitchen and half bath remodel, new flooring, adding new recessed lights, new fireplace hearth and painting all of the first floor and stairwells going up and downstairs. From the beginning, both Marc and Raquel were super responsive, often within minutes and many times well outside of business hours. They listened to what we wanted and Raquel, Marc and their tile guy all offered wonderful suggestions that we did not think of. The initial estimate was accurate and within reason. We wound up going a little over because we needed a new sub-panel installed and decided to go with upgraded countertops. This was not because of any inaccurate forecasting. The team was organized and cleaned up every day. On top of everything, they finished the work earlier than we expected! We are very pleased with the result and would not hesitate to work with them again.

Terrible experience. We asked for a finish and remodel of our basement. The contractors made mistakes every step of the way, even cutting a solid wood door by 1/3 without checking with us. There are cracks in the drywall, which appeared only days after they “completed” the job.

The worst part, however, was the flooring. The contractors botched this. They spilled glue over the top of our vinyl flooring in multiple spots without cleaning it. Within a month, the flooring began to crack due to an uneven concrete surface below the vinyl floor boards. Worst yet, we soon found water leaks since they did not appropriately waterproof the floor. This has caused the flooring to warp. We now need to seek a new contractor and will need to a few thousands dollars to fix this job.

To top all of this off, the owner of company claimed that we were in the wrong for using the wrong materials in the drywall, not requesting that the door *not* be cut by 1/3, and that the flooring issues and lack of waterproofing should have been a request of ours, despite us asking in detail for all of this. Did they expect us to predict and request that glue not be spilled on the floor? Did they expect us to request specialized waterproofing techniques? And so forth.

I highly recommend avoiding this contractor and seeking someone who gets the job done and well. Maybe consider this contractor for a simple job only, but avoid them for larger, complex projects like a basement remodel.

I’ve included two small examples of the cracking drywall and glue on the floor. This is distributed throughout the basement and not isolated to just one small spot or two.

They are very responsive and truly take the time to understand your style and design atheistic and look to incorporate it into the final product. We’ve worked with them twice now for a full bathroom redesign and kitchen remodel. We have been thrilled with the quality and attention to detail. MA Design completed a complete renovation of our master bathroom for us. We gutted everything to the studs, had major plumbing layout changes, and totally redesigned the room. They performed every aspect of the job wonderfully, from design to execution to final touch ups.
