Awesome Planet should not be one of ‘must do’ while exploring the Epcot. But it is educational and I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of cinematic and sound effects. And this can be a perfect place to refresh yourself especially during scorching hot and rainy day. I’d skip it if the wait time is over 30 minutes.

We went to see what this was all about, as it had replaced a previous feature there. We did not know what to expect but were pleasantly surprised. This experience consisted of a very well done and pointy documentary from a unique perspective of a realtor. Imagine someone going over the history of our planet and trying to sell us on living here. The documentary was entertaining, informative and a little preachy overall. It isn't very long and is worth the time. We were waiting for our restaurant reservation at the Garden Grill and this was a good way to pass some time plus it is right next door to the restaurant. There is a huge waiting area before you enter the theater. Once insde the theater you will find seats that are comfortable and that offer a good view of the screen. This is also a good place to wait out rainy weather or to cool down from the Florida heat. The theater has good air conditioning.

It’s disappointing they got rid of Food Rocks and replaced it with this. Food Rocks has animatronics, was educational, entertaining and a show. This is educational, but it essentially watching a documentary about Earth and is not interactive. I feel like they could have done something more creative with this space, had something entertaining and still kept that educational component.

This is a short ten minute film introducing the planet and its wonders. It was quite enjoyable and the theaters were not crowded at all!

A good movie about Earth in the Land at EPCOT
This pavilion or area is inside Disney’s EPCOT theme park so you need tickets for the park to get to it. It is located in The Land which is to the right as you enter the park or to the west of Spaceship Earth. The Land has a lot of items for the visitors coming to the park. It has a good-sized food court, a boat ride, Soaring, a sit-down restaurant, and the Harvest Theater. You enter onto the second level that contains the Harvest Theater to the right and the restaurant slightly to the left. The other attractions are below you as you enter. I have experienced each of these parts of this pavilion. They are all enjoyable. I decided to try the Harvest Theater. I have not been inside this part for several years. This is a large Theater that has shown different short films featuring our planet over the years since its opening. It showed a show called Symbiosis from 1982 until 1995, an 18-minute film that explored technological progress in the environment and the partnership between people and the land. This film was replaced in 1995 by one called Circle of Life: An Environmental Fable starring Lion King's Timon, Pumbaa, and Simba. This 20-minute film showed many of the dangers facing the environment and the responsibility people have to take to preserve the land. The latest film is called The Awesome Planet which I thought was very well done. It shows Earth and its various biomes. It discussed its great points and its challenges and gave suggestions on how to help. I enjoyed it very much and hope others will go to see it.

Awesome Planet at Epcot was a fantastic experience for our family! The visuals were breathtaking, showcasing the beauty and diversity of our planet. The educational aspects were engaging, and my kids were mesmerized by the immersive presentation. While I wish it was longer, the overall message of conservation and taking care of our Earth really hit home. A must-see for nature enthusiasts and families alike!

It wasn't on our list of "must dos at Epcot" but the wait was so short, we'd done everything we wanted to do that we could've done and said why not. It was a great movie to relax our toddler and ourselves really. The heat and running around all day takes a toll and this was a nice place to stop before getting ready to head out. There weren't that many people so it made it more appealing. The building was a little confusing, though I'm not sure that wasn't just people walking around in circles. I don't think our toddler was paying too close attention, but she was too tired to care and it was nice to tone things down.
